The 2010 Fall Rites of Passage Adventure Weekend (ROPA) will be held Friday, October 1st (after school) through Sunday October 3rd. The location is TBA - watch for details.
Registration:
Only 16 boys will be accepted into the fall ROPA. Upon receipt of $100 deposit and the signed REGISTRATION FORM a space will be reserved for you/your son in the ROPA weekend. A signed MEDICAL FORM and RELEASE FORM must be received prior to the weekend. Boys who are interested and/or have registered must first go through an orientation with a Mentor in the program. The purpose is to determine whether you are ready to begin your journey to manhood, and to give you a clear choice to participate or not. If you or the mentor determine that you are not ready, any deposit we have received will be returned to you. The total cost for this weekend is $295, due in full by September 17th. Limited payment plans and/or scholarships are available. We are committed that no one is unable to participate for lack of financial resources. Call Neil Egan to arrange for a scholarship.
Logistics:
Parents will drop of boys at a location in Santa Fe (location yet to be determined) on Friday afternoon, October 1st, no later than 4:45 p.m. and go through a short separation ceremony. They will return on Sunday afternoon as Journeymen - no longer boys (we will let you know the exact time before the weekend).
Safety:
There will be approximately 30 leaders, mentors, and Journeymen (teens who have been through the weekend) on the weekend. Every adult staff member (except for the leaders) pays to participate in the weekend. In addition, every adult staff has passed a background check in the past 2 years. Your boys will never be alone with an adult on the weekend - everything happens in groups. If you have any questions about our safety procedures, please contact us.

You can nominate a boy through our website. If you do this, we will contact you and/or the boy to see if the ROPA is of interest.
